QuestAir receives CDN $0.6 mln order in Brazil

25-Dec-06
QuestAir Technologies has received an order valued at approximately CDN $0.6 million for a QuestAir H-3100 hydrogen purifier to recover hydrogen from ethylene cracker offgas at an ethylene cracker being installed in a new linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant located near Sao Paulo, Brazil. The high-purity hydrogen product from QuestAir's H-3100 will be used in the production of polyethylene. Ethylene cracker offgas is an important source of cost-effective hydrogen to meet the rapidly growing demand for hydrogen in the petrochemical industry. QuestAir's H-3100 pressure swing adsorption (PSA) product purifies gas streams containing hydrogen to high-purity hydrogen for use in a range of industrial and petrochemical processes. QuestAir's PSA process and proprietary rotary valve technology deliver higher efficiency than conventional PSA systems in a more compact, cost-effective package. Since 1997, QuestAir has sold over 30 H-3100 plants to customers in Europe, Japan and North America.
