Effective September 1, SABIC Europe plans to increase prices in Europe by €100 per ton for all of its HDPE, LDPE and LLDPE products - result of persistently high oil prices and ethylene supply crunch.
Poylethylene markets in Europe and Asia have tightened considerably over the summer period as demand continues to be strong and supply remains very tight. The high level of feedstock costs is expected to continue along with low inventory levels- the value chain needs to prepare for a prolonged period of structurally higher polymer prices.
