Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Co plans to restart its 400,000 tpa LDPE plant

Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Co (SEPC) plans to restart its 400,000 tpa low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant at Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The unscheduled shutdown that was caused by technical glitches a fortnight ago, is expected to be called off by mid-October. SEPC is a joint venture of Sahara Olefins Co, which holds a 24.4% stake; National Industrialisation Co (Tasnee) with a 50.6% stake and LyondellBasell holding the remaining 25%.
