Serbia's largest petrochem group to erect new PP line; ramp up HDPE, LDPE capacities

HIP Petrohemija, largest petrochemicals group in Serbia, is reportedly expected to outlay €140 mln (US$204 mln) in erecting a new polypropylene (PP) line. Further, the company will ramp up the production of HDPE (Hiplex) and LDPE (Hipten), and up LDPE capacity by 20% to 70,000 tpa and HDPE capacity by approximately 33% to 90,000 tpa. HIP Petrohemija is slated for upgradation of its 200,000 tpa ethylene unit and 85,000 tpa propylene oxide unit.
