Royal Dutch Shell PLC will arrive at a decision to build another multi-billion dollar ethylene cracker in Singapore by 2006. Currently, a detailed study is being conducted, which is expected to be complete by 2006. After the feasibility study, Shell will move to the final investment decision stage. If the project gets the green light, it will start up in three years.
Currently, Shell has investments totaling to US$6 bln in refining and chemical business on Jurong Island in Singapore.
