Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co. Ltd has put its 1 mln tpa petrochemical reformer project into formal production. The project is considered to be a new aromatic hydrocarbon reformer facility, to boost crude oil processing capacity and improve the integration of refining and petrochemical facilities for greater economic efficiency. The project has been completed at an investment outlay of 3 bln yuan and is the largest of kind for the company's recently mounted engineering projects. Energy-saving equipment has also been installed to make full use of heats generated during the production.
