SK Energy’s contract aids effortless operations at Vietnam’s first oil refinery

In a bid to ensure stable operation of Dung Quat - Vietnam’s first oil refinery, Korea’s SK Energy has inked a deal with Binh Son Ltd. Co. to provide operational and maintenance services. Binh Son is a subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group responsible for running the refinery. As per the contract, within a period of 6 to 30 months, SK Energy will provide over 140 staff, transfer operational methods and organise training courses for the Binh Son staff to help the refinery run independently. By year end, the Dung Quat refinery will operate at 100% to produce 6.3 mln tpa of products including Mogas 90, 92 and 95 petrol, liquefied petroleum gas, Jet A1 fuel, Diesel and propylene.
