After successful overhaul and revamping of its polypropylene (PP) unit post afire break out, Stavrolen (a LUKOIL Group petrochemical facility), has resumed commercial output. A total production of 67,300 tons of general-purpose PP is planned before the end of 2009. Production at the unit came to a standstill in April 2008 after a fire in the propylene-polymerization reactor of the 120,000 ton unit commissioned in 2007.
