The construction of Sinochem Oil and Gas General Co’s Daqing subsidiary’s 80,000 tpa SM plant has drawn to a completion. Finished at an investment outlay if 700 million Yuan, the project will utilize dry gas (which contains 55% ethylene) from the DCC unit of the company and outsource the feedstock benzene.
Yet some more capacity is expected by mid-2009, as Shanghai Secco Petrochemical Co., Ltd. will complete a 150,000 tpa capacity expansion at its 500,000 tpa SM plant.
