Taiwan plans to discuss a mutual waiver of tariffs on petrochemicals and chemical fibres with China. China currently imposes a minimum tariff of 6.5% on petrochemical imports.
As per a report, 40% of Taiwan's petrochemical products are exported, of which the country exports almost 80% to China.
