Temporary shutdown at Nova Chemicals' Corunna facility

02-Jan-06
Nova Chemicals Corporation plans to shut down its Corunna, Ontario, ethylene manufacturing facility on December 28, 2005, for additional compressor seal repairs, for a period of approximately two weeks. Nova's Sarnia polyethylene plant will also be shut down as a result of the Corunna outage. The shutdown follows a successful plant start-up and commercial production of ethylene and co-products after a maintenance and modernization outage. Production of the full slate of products is expected to resume in approximately 12 to 16 days.
