Unipetrol - Czech petrochemical group plans to invest CZK 950.5 million this year in modernisation and capacity increase at its major subsidiaries Chemopetrol and Ceska rafinerska - is the largest oil processor and producer of oil products in the Czech Republic.
CZK 584.1 mln is to be invested in Ceska rafinerska, mainly for modernisation of the hydrocracking unit built in 1987, and biofuels equipment. CZK 366.4 mln has been earmarked for raising the capacity of the polypropylene unit and expanding the polyolefin warehousing capacity at Chemopetrol. PKN Orlen acquired a 63% stake in . Unipetrol, including claims for CZK 14.7 billion from the Czech state last year.
