Insulfoam-a division of Carlisle Construction Materials and US' largest maker of block-molded expanded polystyrene insulation-have announced that the company's Marlin-based plant in Texas will be shut down owing to ailing construction industry and a decline in new property sales in the US. Also, the company is shuttering its Anderson-based plant in South Carolina. The current market scenario for construction industry impacted the close down of both the plants as the two plants reportedly outlaid heavy investments in residential segment in construction industry.
