Zamil Steel has been awarded a contract valued at SR34 million ($9.2 million) to supply fabricated structural steel products and process equipment for Kuwait Oil Company's OL2K Ethylene Project (Olefins 2 Kuwait). Zamil Steel's Structural Steel Business Unit will manufacture and supply pipe racks and large pressure vessels as a subcontractor to Technip of Italy, the main contractor for the project.
Foster Wheeler's Italy-based subsidiary Foster Wheeler Italiana SpA has won an engineering, procurement and construction supervision contract with The Kuwait Olefins Company for an ethylene-glycol unit in Kuwait. The unit will have capacity of 600,000 mtpy and is part of TKOC's planned Olefins II ethylene and derivatives complex. Contract terms were not disclosed.
