Zeus, Inc., a US-based producer of high-performance fluoropolymers, has recently announced partnering with Avancen MOD Corporation which produces MOD® (Medication on Demand), a wireless device that allows hospitalized patients to directly access their oral pain medication from bedside. Zeus, along with Avancen will manufacture parts for the MOD and assemble the units. "We are excited about this new partnership with Avancen and welcome the firm to South Carolina," said Bob Ballard, Vice President, Research and Strategic Business Development. "Zeus places a premium on close collaboration with partners, like Avancen, to develop critical processing technologies and process development specific to their applications."
Florida-based Avancen will be relocating to North Charleston, South Carolina and Zeus, also headquartered in the State, will be involved in the manufacture and assembly of the MOD. The collaboration will result in technology that ensures prompt delivery of medications, promotes nursing staff efficiency, and improves the general care of hospitalized patients at bedside. According to company's website, Zeus is a world leader in the design and production of high-performance polymer tubing used in demanding applications; operating multiple facilities in North America and internationally.
