Sunoco plans closure of the ethylene unit at Claymont refinery that was damaged in an explosion due to pipe failure in May. The pipe failure led to release of combustible ethylene unit feed gas. The closure of the unit due to insufficient demand will result in lay offs of 40 to 50 workers.
