Ampacet has opened a color masterbatch plant in Mexico- a new 3,700 sq mt (40,000-square-foot) plastic color masterbatch facility in Queretaro, Mexico, about 120 miles northwest of Mexico City. The plant will support the company's broad base of business in Mexico, which was being serviced from the US and South America so far.
The new facility will have plastics extrusion and molding equipment, a color service and development center and offices to serve the rigid and flexible packaging markets in Mexico. The plant's production lines are highly efficient and include a blending station to ensure product quality and laboratory-scale extrusion and molding equipment for product evaluations. In addition, its Color Service and Development Center gives customers the ability to create new colors and effects rapidly.
