Basell has sold its 50% stake to Repsol YPF, in the 160,000 tpa polypropylene plant in Tarragona, Spain. This plant is currently operated by Transformadora De Propileno A.I.E., jointly owned by Basell and Repsol.
This is a decision taken by Basell Iberica in pursuit of the company's objective to focus on its wholly owned production facilities in Tarragona, with an annual capacity of 360,000 tpa
