American company, FACTS Global Energy reported the ethylene production capacity of Asia-Pacific region to reach 64 mln tpa by 2015. The report asserted that a major surge in ethylene will be witnessed within the period of 2009-2011. Out of this, China alone will produce around 14 mln tpa to its existing capacity of 10 mln tpa. Also, mainland's naphtha consumption will reach 1.1 mln bpd in 2015 form 600,000 bpd in 2007, making it the No.1 consumer of naphtha by 2015.
