CPC Corp., Taiwan's state-owned oil refiner, has restarted its No. 5 cracker, while shutting its 350,000 tpa No. 4 naphtha cracker in Kaohsiung for a month long regular maintenance. The No. 5 plant, with 500,000 tpa ethylene capacity was closed on Aug. 15 for scheduled repairs.
