Coperion GmbH (Germany), technology leader in compounding systems, now supplies filters and separators, produced at its own premises, as individual units for use in industrial pneumatic systems many other areas of application. The range comprises standardized suction and venting filters of various types as well as safety filters featuring an extremely high filtering/separating efficiency of 99.97% for the protection of machines and/or products. Being equipped with an integrated water separator, the new FD Series filters are the first of their kind to separate dust particles and water droplets in one single housing. A filter testing installation in the Technical Centre at Weingarten has been specially built for industrial scale trials with filtering and separating systems for specific customer applications. These tests permit Coperion to determine compressed air consumption and filter changing frequency, thus enabling early and reliable predictions of the operating costs of a filtering unit.
The modular filters and separators from Coperion have already proved themselves in demanding, often very difficult applications, above all in the chemical and plastics industries. Thanks to their extreme reliability and low operating costs, they are rapidly widening their scope of application to include other industries, typical examples being the mineral and food industries and the chemical industry. In all areas of application, customers and/or operators benefit from Coperion's three whole decades of filtration experience and expertise. The reliable, practice-oriented design of the filters is based on Coperion's experience gained in the manufacture and delivery of over 8,000 materials handling systems, an experience of extraordinarily wide scope, ranging from large filtration systems with capacities of several 10,000 m³/hr down to smaller standard and special-purpose filters, for the food industry, for example.
