CPC brings down run rates at naphtha crackers after Typhoon Morakot

Flooding caused by Typhoon Morakot in parts of Taiwan has rendered production cuts at several downstream plants across the country. Taiwan's state-owned oil refiner CPC Corp.’s naphtha cracker has reduced production of ethylene and is operating at 75% capacity, down from 95%. No damages have been borne by CPC’s plants and refineries by the typhoon.
