Flooding caused by Typhoon Morakot in parts of Taiwan has rendered production cuts at several downstream plants across the country. Taiwan's state-owned oil refiner CPC Corp.’s naphtha cracker has reduced production of ethylene and is operating at 75% capacity, down from 95%.
