Rakhi, a delicate symbol of sister's love for her brother will now arrive at its destination in near perfect condition, thanks to customised water resistant envelopes developed especially for the festival of Rakshabandhan by the Department of Posts, in association with DuPont. The customised water and tear resistant envelopes will be made of DuPont Tyvek non-woven, and will be available at post offices as well as other retail outlets across the country. The Tyvek envelopes would be able to withstand wear and tear of handling and also the adverse weather conditions during the monsoon season much better than ordinary envelopes.
