South Korea's Honam Petrochemical plans to establish a joint venture with Japan's Mitsubishi Rayon to form Daesan MMA, to build two factories in Daesan by 2008. Capacity at the plant will comprise of 90,000 tpa of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and 40,000 tpa of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).
Honam Petrochemicals is a unit of the Lotte Group, and currently operates an MMA facility at its plant in Yeosu.
