China's Zhejiang Hualian Sanxin (Sunshine) Petrochemical Co. Ltd. has scheduled the start up of its second 600,000 mta purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant in the first quarter of 2007. Sunshine started up its first 600,000 mta PTA line in May this year. Output from the plants will meet the requirements of consumers in eastern China- the largest polyester center in the world.
