Iran targets new markets in Africa, Latin America and China

Iran is seeking to increase petrochemical product exports by targeting new markets in Africa, Latin America and China. Iran exported 10.320 mln tons of petrochemical products ( including polyethylene, methanol, benzene, ammonia, ethane, sulphur, PVC and propylene) worth over US$6.450 bln in the first three quarters of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2010). Iran's petrochemical exports to China exceeded US$1.650 bln in the current Iranian year. Estimates reveal that by March 2011, Iran's export of petrochemical products to China will hit US$2 bln, registering a record.
