Kazakhstan Prime Minister ahs been in talks with the president of Basell to discuss issues concerning Kazakhstan petrochemical development, in particular, prospects for the construction of the competitive petrochemical complex of the world scale for polypropylene and polyethylene production.
A joint undertaking is being considered for gas conversion process and production of basic petrochemicals. The Energetics and Mineral Resources Ministry along with the interested state organs has been entrusted the responsibility of forming a special working group for further detailed study of the issue.
