Kuwait has plans to build a US$5 billion refinery and petrochemical plant in southern China and is currently evaluating a range of proposals from potential Chinese partners.
China and Kuwait had, earlier this month, signed a preliminary agreement to build a US$5 billion refinery and petrochemical plant in Guangdong Province, with negotiations continuing with PetroChina and the Guangdong provincial government on terms of a deal to build the refinery.
