Korea's Lotte Daesan Petrochemical Corp. (Lotte), a wholly owned subsidiary of Honam Petrochemical, has selected Univation Technologies to assist in the planned 130,000 tpa expansion of linear low density polyethylene plant (LLDPE) at Lotte's site in Daesan, South Korea. Lotte's UNIPOL(TM) line will be a world scale facility post expansion, and will be able to meet growing PE demand with proven LLDPE products.
Lotte reported that reliable Super Condensed Mode Technology (SCM-T(TM)) with the advantages in investment and operating costs were the primary reasons for the selection of Univation's PE technology
