Despite minor gains, oil futures remained below US$60 a barrel, as forecasts of warmer than usual weather in the US relieved concerns of rising heating fuel demand. December Brent crude futures on the ICE Futures exchange rose to US$58.18 a barrel in London.
Analysts feel that crude is likely to trade between US$58 to US$62 US a barrel until there were clearer indications of how cold the Northern Hemisphere winter would be.
