Sinopec Corp has selected the UNIPOL PE process for a 450,000 tpa polyethylene plant (PE) at its affiliate, Sinopec Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company Ltd. in Ningbo. The new facility is scheduled for start-up in 2009 and will be capable of producing a full range of linear low density polyethylene and high-density polyethylene.
UNIPOL PE process has been the preferred technology as it offers proven capability and reliability to manufacture a broad range of polyethylenes at high throughput with low capital investment per tonne of capacity as well as the proven flexibility of UNIPOL PE with its conventional and metallocene catalyst.
