To meet growing global demand, especially from China, US chemical producer Solutia plans to increase capacity at Pensacola, Florida, for its "Vydyne" engineering PA 6.6 polymer and "Ascend" manmade fibre by 32,000 tpa.
First stage of the expansion program will be complete by Q3-2006 and will be followed by other capacity hikes in 2007 and 2008.
