South Korean firms clinch US$660 mln deal in Thailand

SK Engineering & Construction Co., along with GS Engineering & Construction Co., has clinched an order worth US$660 million to build a petrochemical plant in Thailand for the state-run Aromatics Thailand Public Co.(ATC). The project site is planned in the region of Map Ta Phut, 250 kms south east of Bangkok, and is scheduled for completion by July 2008. The plant is projected to produce a million tons of petrochemicals such as paraxylene and benzene every year.
