Taiwan's Formosa Petrochemical Corp. (FPC) will resume operations at its 700,000 mtpa No.1 ethylene unit as the demand in its export markets climbs. Concurrently, Taiwan's public-listed oil refiner will pull its 1,200,000 tpa No.3 ethylene unit off stream citing repair of the mechanical fault as the reason for idling.
