BASF acquires Johnson Polymer

05-Jul-06
BASF has concluded the acquisition of resins manufacturer Johnson Polymer on July 1, 2006. The transaction has been approved by the relevant antitrust authorities. The Johnson Polymer business will be integrated into BASF's Performance Chemicals division. The acquisition provides BASF with a range of water-based resins that complements its existing resins portfolio and will strengthen BASF's market presence, particularly in North America, as the transaction comprises Johnson Polymer's production sites in USA and in the Netherlands, along with technical centers and offices in Asia Pacific.
