India's leading construction and heavy engineering company Larsen and Toubro has been awarded four major contracts worth Rs.3.29 billion for the ongoing expansion plans of Indian Oil Corp (IOC) and Bongaigaon Refinery Petrochemicals (BRPL).
The contract encompasses the design, manufacture and supply of two ethylene oxide reactors - an extremely critical part of mono-ethylene glycol unit in a petrochemical plant. The other contracts are for the critical reactors for the diesel hydro-treating units of IOCL and BRPL refineries, made up of special grade steel. L&T has supplied several critical reactors to refinery majors in the US, Canada and Europe.
