Borealis has announced a price increase for its polypropylene based products for European automotive and appliances applications in Europe by 50 EUR/per ton as of 1st January, 2007.
This increase follows an increase in price of propylene (feedstock), energy and transportation costs that have continued to increase throughout 2006. So far polymer manufacturers have only been able to partly pass on these costs through the value chain.
