Celanese Corporation, has announced sale of the Films business of its AT Plastics subsidiary to British Polythene Industries PLC (BPI). The Films business manufactures products for the agricultural, horticultural and construction industries. The transaction includes the transfer to BPI of Films production assets, located in Edmonton and Westlock, Alberta, Canada, with immediate effect.
The sale is part of Celanese's ongoing plan to divest non-core businessesThe Specialty Polymers business of AT Plastics, whose production and support facilities are located in Edmonton, remains with Celanese.
