HIP Petrohemija to invest US$204 mln in new polypropylene line

Serbia's largest petrochem group - HIP Petrohemija, plans to invest €140 mln (US$204 mln) in construction of a new polypropylene (PP) line. The Serbian major also plans to augment HDPE and LDPE production. A 20% increase in LDPE capacity will hike capacity to 70,000 tpa and a 33% hike in HDPE capacity will increase production to 90,000 tpa. The company also plans to upgrade of its 200,000 tpa ethylene unit and 85,000 tpa propylene oxide unit.
