India to deliver 35,000 tons naphtha to US amidst sluggish Asian demand

11-Oct-08
Amidst the slump in Asian naphtha demand, 35,000 tons of India's naphtha will reportedly be delivered to the US. The naphtha which is set to load the West coast of India on Oct 18 is been seen as an unexpected arbitrage owing to the overcapacity of naphtha in Asia. August and September has witnessed scale back of naphtha outputs from players including Formosa Petrochemical (Taiwan), Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Centre (South Korea), Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore and Mitsubishi Chemical Corp (Japan).
