Mitsubishi Chemical plans to boost its polycarbonate resin capacity from the present 400,000 tpa to 1 million tpa by 2010. The plan is to implement debottlenecking at plants in Japan and South Korea, and buil two new plants in China, another in Korea, and one in Europe. Plants in Korea, Thailand, and China may also be expanded over the next five years.
