Leading global polymer and masterbatch compounder PolyOne Corporation, plans to expand in Central Europe with the construction of a manufacturing facility in Kutno, Poland. This will be PolyOne's second manufacturing facility in Central Europe, with the facility in Gyor, Hungary, started in 1998, being the first. Kutno is centrally located in Poland, with easy access to all major industrial regions and proximity to the main Berlin-to-Moscow transportation route.
Color masterbatches for extrusion and molding are to be initially produced at this plant to meet demand of its rapidly growing customer base in the region. Production is to commence after construction is completed by Q1-2007. Strong partnering support will be extended to existing European customers who are establishing their own manufacturing sites in Central and Eastern Europe. PolyOne also has sales offices in Krakow, Poland, and Prague, Czech Republic.
