The start up of SABIC’s Yanbu National Petrochemical Company 's (Yansab) petrochemical complex that was delayed from a previously scheduled start up in 2008, has materialized. Saudi Basic Industries Corp’s (SABIC) Yansab has started production at its 18.5 bln riyal (US$4.93 bln) petrochemical complex in Yanbu. The complex, 51% owned by SABIC, has production capacity of more than 4 mln tons of petrochemical products annually, including ethylene, ethylene-glycol, proplene, and polyethylene.
