Samsung Engineering Co has been awarded a US$860 mln order by Tasnee Petrochemicals of Saudi Arabia to build a petrochemical plant in Jubail. The plant is to have production capacity of one mln tpa of ethylene and 300,000 tpa of propylene and is scheduled to be completed by November 2008.
The contract is part of a US$1.2 bln project secured by a consortium of Samsung and Germany's Linde.
