Petrochemical giant Shell has reported annual profits of £12.93 billion or £25,000 a minute, a figure that broke British business records. Infuriated motorists hit by rising fuel costs have accused the company of cashing in on the high price of oil at the expense of road users. Interestingly, fuel duty has been frozen by the British government and tax still accounts for 60% of the price of petrol in the UK.
