Seven bomb blasts in 20 minutes in the overcrowded train compartments of Mumbai's Western Railway Line, at the peak hour on Tuesday; spread a wave of shock among the citizens. Maharashtra Chief Minister had said that the serial blasts that disrupted life in Mumbai and killed over 170, would not affect the routine functioning of the city.
And true to it's spirit, Mumbai was back on its feet this morning, demonstrating unparalleled strength.
The Western Railway network, which was crippled severely last evening by a series bomb blasts, has been operational. Almost all the trains on the local Western Railway line are back on track, as Mumbaiites bounce back to normalcy- better than what the perpetrators of the blasts would have expected.
Many local train commuters were back to their routines this morning as they the travelled to their work places.
Schools and colleges are functioning normally.
The Bombay Stock Exchange has decided to go about with business as usual.
Shops and business establishments commenced operations in most parts of Mumbai.
